Ezella Darnell, 103, of Addison entered into Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born June 20, 1909 in Addison, Alabama to Dr. Rufus Barnett and Leatha Gaines Barnett. Ezella enjoyed Gardening, Knitting, and cooking for everyone.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2pm. Reverend Brad Hadley and Reverend Tim Box will be officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Addison.
She is survived by daughter, Betty Perry and her husband Glenn; sons Oran “Dob” Darnell and his wife Judith and Bobby Darnell; she was Grandma to 9 grandchildren; Diane Hadley and her husband Brad, Glenda Carpenter and her husband Michael, Brian Perry and his wife Jill, Brandon Perry, Lisa Colburn and her husband Joey, Rodney Darnell and his wife Samanda, Tony Darnell and his wife Denise, Terry Darnell and Taschone Darnell; she was also Grandma to 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Darnell; son, Buddy Darnell; daughter, Pauline Darnell; daughter-in-law, Janie Ryan Darnell; and her parents, Leatha Barnett and Dr. Rufus Barnett.
