Evie D. Flake, 84, of Double Springs passed away on July 26, 2014 in Jasper.
She was born on July 24, 1930 in Double Springs. Mrs. Flake was a member of New Hope at Mt. Ebron Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs where services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am. Brother Steve Wakefield will officiate. Burial will be in Frost Community Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Herman Flake and Joe Flake; daughter, Betty Flake; daughter in law, Sandra Flake; son in law, Robert Barton; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Flake; parents, Lee and Minnie Baldy; son, Odis Flake; daughter, Reba Flake; and daughter in law, Peggy Flake.
