edithEdith Wilkins Farmer, 90 of Addison, entered into rest on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Lakeland Community Hospital.

Edith was born on May 6, 1924 in Winston County, AL to Samuel Berton and Annie Elvira Wilkins. She was a lifelong member of Addison Church of God.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 10-11am at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 11am. Pastor Robert Partridge will officiate. Burial will be in Kemp Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy Farmer and his wife Shirley, Dale Farmer and his wife Wanda; daughter, Sharon Cleghorn; brother, Bobby Lowell Wilkins and his wife Joanne; she was “Grandmother” to 7 grandchildren, Byron Farmer, David Farmer, Beverly Cleghorn Shelby, Roger Cleghorn, Rodney Farmer, Roland Cleghorn, Bradley Farmer; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Annie Wilkins; daughter, Sandy Farmer; brothers, Billy Wilkins, Ed Wilkins, Vernon Wilkins; sisters, Jerlene White and Vetra Smith.
