Evelyn Grace Oden Morrow, 78 of Arab passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at her residence. Evelyn was born April 1, 1944, in Marshall County the daughter of Argle Ernest Oden and Gracie Maebelle Oden. She was a graduate of Union Hill School Class of 1962 and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She worked for Spacecraft (SCI) for over 30 years, most of those years as a supervisor. She decided to return to work in 2009 as a Wal-Mart greeter and remained there till her 75th birthday. She selflessly dedicated her whole life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, teaching them how a strong woman was supposed to be. She loved tending to her flowers and enjoyed watching the birds, especially the red birds. She was at every basketball, baseball and football game she could be, cheering on her great grandsons. She was one of Willie Nelson’s biggest fans.
She is survived by her daughter: Yekedia Johnson Page (Mike), grandchildren: Alicia Ward, Chelsea Johnson and Chassity Page Erhardt (Pierce), great grandchildren: Kolby Hardin and Kolton Hardin; sister: Helen Childers (Dude); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded by her husband: Jerry Lee Morrow, son: Keith Edward Johnson, grandson: Kyle Edward Johnson, sister: Diane Blake, brother: Curtis Oden.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Jeff Mims officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Kolby Hardin, Kolton Hardin, Steven Childers, Carter Blake, Kevin Blake, Phillip Ward, Kevin Hardin and Kyle Hardin.
