Evelyn A. Church, 99, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully Sunday with family at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Church was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Clair Church, daughter, Dawn Church Mikolajczak, son, Dion Church, and daughter-in-law, Mary Church.
Survivors include grandson, Guy McKay and wife, Kathy; great-granddaughter, Michelle McKay; great-great-grandson, Landon Horton, two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Church lived most of her life in Knoxville, PA, and was a member of the Knoxville Yoke Church. She moved to Alabama in 2009. After the age of 92, she traveled to NC to see her sister, to PA for a family reunion, and then was able to tour the Opryland Hotel and Gatlinburg. She had been staying at Millennium Nursing Home since 2013.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. Graveside services in Pennsylvania to be determined.
