Eunice Murriel Tidwell, age 91, passed away on September 6, 2016 at her home in Jasper.
Her funeral services will be Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Files Cemetery in Townley.
Ms. Tidwell was born on September 20, 1924 in Townley, Alabama. She obtained her teaching degree at UNA Florence, her bachelor’s and Masters in Education at the University of Alabama, but was an avid Auburn fan. Ms. Tidwell was a teacher for the Jasper City School system for 40 years. She was also a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper.
She was preceded in death by her Father-C.E. Tidwell; Mother-Ruby Tirey Tidwell and Beloved Brother-Carl Tidwell, Jr. also her Niece-Barbara Cooper; Nieces-Barbara L. Tidwell and Stacy L. Tidwell Parrish.
She is survived by her Beloved Nephew-William C. “Bill” Tidwell, Sr. (Carole) and his children William C. “Bill” Tidwell, Jr., Cindy Tidwell McClure, Tina O’Connor, Lisa Harris and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be William C. Tidwell, Jr., William Austin Tidwell, Brandon Parrish and Stan McClure.
