Eunice Christine Himes – Obituary

Mrs. Eunice Christine Himes, age 86, of Duck River, passed away on December 7, 2016 at her residence.

Eunice was born on December 26, 1929 in Lewis County, Tennessee to the late John Franklin Himes and Martha Elizabeth “Liz” Rone Himes. She was married to Frank Himes who preceded her in death on June 8, 1992. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mother to her four children. Her family was her life.

Eunice is survived by her children: Susie L Himes Carroll of Hohenwald, Earl W. (Linda) Himes of Hickman County, Mary Alice Himes of Duck River and Rena (Steve) Prince Shifflett of Duck River; grandchildren: Craig Azcarate, Christy Davis (Tony) Watts, Terry (April) Prince and Rodney (Tiffany) Himes; great-grandchildren: Baily Blocker, Rodney Himes, Jr., Raina Himes, Allie Davis, Nathan Davis, Anthony Watts, Chantel Prince, Carly McGee, Chancz McGee, Zachary Ray, Nicholas Azcarate, James Azcarate and Dallas Shore; great-great-grandson: Alexander Ray. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Raymond Himes and Auther Himes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Himes will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Jeff Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Terry Prince, Rodney Himes, Zachary Ray, Nicholas Ascarate, Steve Davidson and Scott Davidson will serve as pallbearers.
