Eugene “Gene” Townsend, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church. The service will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, is directing.
