Etha M. Devaney, 90, of Cherokee, Alabama, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Maud Church of Christ, officiated by Jordan Gray. Interment will follow in Maud Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. Pallbearers include Chad Durham, Cody Durham, Casey Durham, Noonan Miller, Eugene Thorn, and Marcus Nunley. Avery Devaney will serve as honorary pallbearer. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one son, Hoyt Devaney (Judy); two grandchildren, Cammy Durham (Chad) and Carl Devaney (Stephanie); and four great-grandchildren, Cody Durham, Casey Durham, Avery Devaney, and Allie Devaney, all of Cherokee, AL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maud Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery Fund.
