Funeral services for Esther Louise Bowers Brown, 80, will be held Tuesday, August 1,2023 at 12:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Patrick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Brown died on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Crestwood Hospital, Huntsville, AL. She was born August 25, 1942, in Morgan County, to Euwin Etherage Bowers and Thelma Marie Wharton Bowers.
Mrs. Brown and her husband, Dewey Hammond Brown, were owners of C&B Foundry in Lacey’s Spring. Mrs. Brown handled the administrative portion of the business for several years. She loved Country music. Anytime you visited her home and the television was on, a Country song would be playing. She also enjoyed Alabama Football and Braves baseball. She loved her daughters, her granddaughters, her great-grandsons and her siblings.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a son, Jacky Hammond Brown, and two siblings, Euwin Thomas Bowers and Elizabeth Bowers Smith.
Survivors include two daughters: Donna Brown Frazier (Paul) and Dora Brown Clark, both of Lacey’s Springs, AL. Three granddaughters: Jessica Winfrey Barrett (Johnathan), Morgan City, AL; Stephanie Clark (Dustin Adams), Hazel Green, AL; and Shannon Clark, Lacey’s Spring, AL. Two great grandsons: Kaleb Wood, Decatur, AL and Kolby Smith, Lacey’s Spring, AL. Five siblings, Betty Ann Bowers Selby (Kenneth) of Somerville, AL; Ruth Bowers Scott of Madison, AL; James Clyde Bowers (Brenda) of Valhermoso Springs, AL; Dorothy Bowers Owens, Hephzibah, GA; Mary Bowers Dixon (Thomas) of Meridianville, AL; and F. Jane Bowers Spriggs (Eric) of Amherst, NH.
Pallbearers will be Dudley Winfrey, Kaleb Wood, Kolby Smith, Dustin Adams, Allen Smith, Bobby Smith, Danny Selby and Jeff Lenox.
