Funeral service for Esther Elouise Lackey Sanders, 90, will be Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sanders died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born October 16, 1923, in Morgan County to William Cole and Sarah Weinman Cole. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and homemaker that was loved by everyone who knew her. She was the greatest listener and was always there if you needed her. She will be terribly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: Max Lackey, four brothers; Junior, Pete, Lee and Joe Cole, and three sisters: Pauline Johnson, Gordy Henson and Ruby Hightower.
