Ervin Michael Combs, 78, of Huntsville, AL passed away Monday at a local hospital. Michael was a native of Long Island, New York and a resident of Madison County for over 23 years. He was a member of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, the Catholic University Alumni Association and the American Bar Association. Survivors include his wife of 53 years: E. Joy H. Combs; one special nephew: Van V. Brown III; a special niece: Deanise Barnes; one brother: William Combs; four nieces: Suzie Foushee, Kathy Wallace, Amy Combs and Jill Combs; one nephew: Billy Combs; two great-nephews: Jordan and Zach Buffington; a special brother-in-law: Roger Holt and his family; his sister- in-law: Shirley Gilbreath and her family and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Humaine Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
