Ernie P. Rogers, 59, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 17, 1958 in Lawrenceburg, Tn. and worked in furniture manufacturing. He was a member of Allen Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be Sunday, January 21, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Keith Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery, Fulton, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his step-children – Rebecca Tucker, Rita Lynch and Tony Jackson; ten step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters – Robert Rogers (Ranae), Deborah Lynch and Diane Stokes (Tom); three step-sisters – Elizabeth Clippard, Joyce Holcomb and Ranae Barnes; two step-brothers – William Griffin (Jimmie) and Tulon Griffin (Jimmie) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Pernell Rogers and Ethel Horton Rogers and four brothers, Johnny Rogers, Yogi Rogers, Joey Rogers and Stanley Rogers.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 1-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
