Eric Lee “Chico” White, 51, of Rogersville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Eric was born on September 1, 1974. He was a loving husband, proud father, cherished brother, beloved uncle, and loyal friend. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, fishing, raising animals, and hosting fish fries for family and friends. Eric never let anyone leave hungry, always making sure everyone had a full plate and a place to sit.
Eric’s infectious sense of humor, ability to tell a story, and outgoing personality brought joy to everyone around him. He had a gift for making people smile and was always ready with a joke, a kind word, or a helping hand. His compassion and generosity touched many lives and created memories that will be treasured forever.
Eric worked as a concrete finisher throughout his life, mostly alongside his daddy, brothers, and numerous friends. He proudly finished his career with the City of Athens Street Department. His commitment to his work and the respect he earned from coworkers reflected the character and integrity he carried throughout his life.
Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife, Megan White; sons, Devan White, Alec White, and Jaiden McDaniel; brothers, Allen White (Cyndi) and Jeremy White; sisters-in-law, Haile Thomas (Casey) and Kayla Duncan (Jacob); nephews and nieces, Josh (Channing), Allie (Andy), Tara (Braden), Taylor, Talan, Sophia, Mason, Harper, Rylin, and Reyna; special brother- and sister-in-law, B.J. and Resha McCarley; mother-in-law, Teresa White; grandparents-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Comer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry White and Jan White; grandparents, R.L. (Jr.) and Geraldine Thigpen and W.C. and Lois White.
The family extends special thanks to hospice nurse Sherry and to all those who offered support, prayers, and encouragement during Eric’s journey. We are deeply grateful for the kindness shown through donations and fundraising efforts.
Eric will be remembered for his laughter, his generosity, and the love he shared so freely. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
