Eric Benjamin Pate, age 32 of Bessemer, passed away December 13, 2020. He was a graduate of Dora High School, class of 2007. He was a talented musician and singer. He played guitar and sang with several bands, including, Ryden Durdy, Band 3.0, Rising Tide, Shady Blu, Midnight Express and Judge Cletus.
Graveside service and interment will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at New Horizon Memorial Gardens in Dora. Due to current Covid-19 protocol, all services will be held at the graveside. Please wear masks if possible and adhere to social distancing requirements.
He was preceded in death by his daddy, Mickey Dale Pate and his grandparents, Gary and Juanita Johnson.
Survivors include his children, Preston Pate, Kaden Atchley and Lexey Stracener; his mother, Yvonne Pate; his fiancé, Kenya Stracener; brothers, Josiah Dozier, Brandon, Dalton, and Dakota Pate and his aunt, Sherry Sherer (Tim); his uncle, Mike Pate; many other relatives and friends.
