Emma Ann Lucas Kingston – Obituary

Emma Ann Lucas Kingston passed away in Denver, Colorado on March 26, 2017, due to complications from Alzheimer’s syndrome. She was 85.

Emma was born to William and Elizabeth Lucas in Russellville, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in bacteriology. Subsequently she was employed by Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana and later by the Tulane University National Primate Center in Covington, Louisiana. While residing in Greenwich, Connecticut she was employed for many years as a real estate broker and associated with Douglas Elliman Pickering.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; and her brother, William Lucas.

She is survived by her children, Walter, Anne (and her spouse, Alan), and Lucas (and his spouse, Candice), as well as her grandchildren, Will, Gavin, and Gray Kingston. She is additionally survived by her sister, Ruth Grissom.

A memorial service is scheduled to be held on June 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 311 N. Jackson Ave. in Russellville, Alabama. The service will be presided over by the Reverend Bo Lloyd
