Elzer Jackson Sharp, Jr., 85, of Meridianville, passed away April 30th.

He is survived by his children, Dr. Michael Sharp (Debra), Marsha Bailey (David), and Rev. Steve Sharp (Susan); sister, Katherine Edwards (Bill); seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sharp was a Master Carpenter, a construction superintendent in the commercial steel building industry, and eventually part owner of Huntsville Design and Construction. Active in construction for 67 years, he was a well known, highly skilled, and respected craftsman for decades.  A faithful Christian for 65 years, Mr. Sharp renovated and built scores of churches in Huntsville, North Alabama, and Latin and South America.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Sharp.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Steve Sharp and Dr. Michael Sharp.
