Funeral services for Mr. Elmer Hardin Fortner, age 91, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Judson Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Maness and Bro. Randall Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Fortner passed away late Tuesday in Jackson. He was born March 21, 1922 in Chesterfield to the late Charlie and Bessie Garner Fortner. He was a retired employee of Century Electric, a WWII U. S. Army Veteran, a Mason, and a member of Natchez Trace Baptist Church and the VFW. Mr. Fortner was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lois “Maxine” Flowers Fortner and two sisters, Martha Couch and Ludell Flowers. He is survived by one brother, Mr. Fielder Fortner and several nieces and nephews.
