Ella Mae McCumber Nix, 55 of West Jefferson, passed away Friday March 10, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid Auburn fan.
Funeral services will be Tuesday March 14, 23 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chris Godfrey will officiate. Burial will follow in Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 10-11 am.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Louise McCumber.
Survivors include her husband James “Peanut” Nix; son, James Nix, Jr.; daughter, Ella Rena Miller (Shane); grandchildren, Riley Miller, Makenna Nix, Jaxon Nix, Colby Miller, Jameson Nix, Abel Miller and Mary Gomez; siblings, Roger, Jovanna, Richard, Roscoe and Ronald McCumber; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
