Elizabeth Stuart Peebles Wilson, 97, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. The daughter of Withers Goodwyn and Edwina Brotherton Peebles of Mooresville, she was educated at Mooresville-Belle Mina School, Decatur High School, Mary Baldwin College and Auburn University, where she was voted an Auburn Beauty.
She married Frank Beaty Wilson, Jr. in 1939 and moved to Huntsville, where she joined him as a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include sons, Frank Beaty Wilson, III and his wife, Nancy, Michael Stuart Wilson, Edwin Peebles Wilson and his wife, Karen; daughter, Patricia Wilson George and her husband, Chuck; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Saturday at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. Cary Speaker officiating. (www.laughlin service.com)
