Elizabeth Mae Holloway was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was born on June 6, 1946 to James and Marie Bell. On May 19, 1961 she married Charles D. Holloway. They raised 4 children and loved their 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She gave everything she was and had to being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a devoted Christian, an excellent cook and homemaker and nothing gave her more enjoyment than preparing a big meal and having her family around her enjoying it. If you met her once, you were friends for life and she genuinely cared about people. She made a profession of faith in 1969. She and Charles became active lifelong members of Crump First Baptist Church. Her church family became some of her dearest friends and were of great comfort to her throughout her life. She had a kind spirit with an ability to listen and she spent a great deal of time in prayer for her family and friends. She was also a member of the Adamsville Eastern Star.
She went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on July 27, 2026 while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Charles Holloway, her children and their spouses whom she thought of as her children, Elaine Conaway, Terry and Donna Holloway, Lisa and Danny Wright, Granville Conaway and Christy and Geoff Holloway. The pride of her life were her 8 grandchildren and their spouses: Nicole and Austin Jarrett, Jonathan and Jessica Holloway, Jacob Holloway, Bethany Holloway and fiancé Cody Collins, Celeste and Logan Atkins, Alexander Wright, Brady Holloway and Dylan Holloway. She had the joy later in life of spoiling 8 great grandchildren: McKenzie Bray, Briley Holloway, Charlie Holloway, Emma Holloway, Caroline Bray, Atha Grace Jarrett, Graham Jarrett and Addison Jarrett She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Carl and Ruth Borden and Jerry and Sandra Bell, 2 sisters and brother-in-law Frances and Max Paulk and Martha Griffn. She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Edith Foster and Patricia Phillips. She also was blessed with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Bell, her brothers, Robert Bell, James David Bell, George Borden Jr., and Carroll (JoJo) Borden. She loved and was blessed with three new friends to love and care for her and Charles: Molly Battles, Brandi Bennett, and LeAnn Glover. The family would like to thank everyone at Arden Hospice and Adamsville Healthcare and Rehab for the love and care shown to Elizabeth in her final days.
