Elgena Darby Tidwell, 82, of Florence, passed away February 12, 2013 at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, February 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Bill Bagents, Chris Moran and Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her parents, William Hubert and Lida Bell Wright Darby; brothers, Vernon and Hubert Darby Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Tidwell Jr.; son, Randy Tidwell of Cincinnati, OH; daughters, Gwen Turner of Cincinnati, OH, Rhonda Quinn of Hixson, TN; brothers, B.L. Darby of Cypress Inn, TN; Paul Darby of Florence, and Lowell Darby of Florence; sisters, Ida May of Cloverdale, Iona Ayers of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Sam and Andrew Quattrochi of Chattanooga, TN; great grandchildren, Zeke, Della and Ruby Quattrochi of Chattanooga, TN.
Active pallbearers will be Greg and Joey May, Sam and Andy Quattrochi, Anthony Britnell, and Bill Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Dr. Sean Rhuland, Dr. Charles Wilson, Zeke Quattrochi, and Elders of Mars Hill Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to the Lauderdale Christian Children’s Home, Heritage Christian University, or Mars Hill Church of Christ Mission Fund.
