Elesia Shields, 56, of the Ozark Community, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the UAB Hospital. She was born August 13, 1957 to Kilby Shields and the late Dortha Beasley Shields in Tupelo. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church. She enjoyed animals, horse back riding, cooking, music, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her Father, Kilby (Shirley) Shields of Fulton, Daughter, Deedra (John Johnson) Turner of Ratliff, 3 Sons, Jeremy South of Guntersville, AL, Harvey “Eddie” Duty II of Adger, AL, Adam Duty of Ozark community, 2 Granddaughters, Bailey Thomas of New Site, MS, Abagayle Duty of Whitewood, VA, 3 Grandsons, Bradley Thomas of Mantachie, Jeighkob Duty of Whitewood, VA, Harvey Duty III of Whitewood, VA, Great Grandson, Remington Reid Caveness of New Site, MS, Sister, Charlotte (John) Beck of Ramsey, IL, Brother, Eric (Brenda) Shields of Fulton, Niece, Chasity (Jed) Carter of Ramsey, IL, Great Nephew, Quinton Carter of Ramsey, IL.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Dortha Nell Shields, Nephew, John Beck Jr., Paternal Grandparents, Charlie (Mattie Sue) Shields, Maternal Grandparents, Charlie (Jessie) Beasley.

Pallbearers will be family friends.
