Eleanor Dean Lindley, 87, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at The Meadows in Fulton, MS. She was born in Itawamba County Mississippi to Rube and Era Williams Palmer. She was a homemaker and a member of Red Bay Holiness Church. She loved her family, her church and quilting.
Services will be Monday, May 12, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Samuel Tharp and Bro. Nick Hensley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. Burial will be in Mt.Vernon Cemetery, Fulton, MS.. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by son- Michael Gray (Peggy); daughter- Sheila Hardin; five grandchildren- Zackary Gray (Emily), Bradley Laugherty (Ashlei), Mike Gray, April and Melissa; six great-grandchildren- Zackery Gray Jr., Scott, Kimberly, Katie, Natalie and Sammy; five siisters- Mary Jean Brolin, Teresa Share, Wonda Clayton, Linda Kemp and Faye Pettigo; three brothers- Charles, Jimmy and Billy Palmer and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son- Bobby Gray; first husband- Grady Gray; second husband- Bill Lindley; three sisters- Kay Colburn, Rebecca Patterson and Peggy Pedigo and five brothers- Robert, Sammy, Easel, Howard and Johnny Edwin Palmer.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Harrison, Ricky Lindley, Zach Gray, Bradley Laugherty, Jimmy Petigo and Johnny Kemp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah and Noah Lindley.
