Eileen Barrier Balentine, 77 of Tuscumbia passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. Visitation will be 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Bob Plunkett will officiate.
She was a native of Walnut Grove, Tennessee and was the retired owner of Eileen’s Daycare. She was a member of the Tuscumbia Church of Christ.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Balentine; her parents Ben and Roxie Barrier; brothers: J.H., Freddie, Bennie and Joe Barrier.
Survivors are her sons Tim (Stephanie) Balentine, Jeff (Becky) Balentine, and Bengie Balentine; daughter, Nicole (Chuck) Peters; brother, Tom (June) Barrier; sisters, Stella Haynes and Barbara Barrier; grandchildren, Lincoln Balentine, Jake Barrett, Roxie Balentine, Anna Beth Peters, Hannah Barrett, Chip Peters, and Brooks Balentine; a host of nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Duchess.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Larry Carmichael, Chris Richardson and the many children she cared for over the years in her home daycare.
