Edward Lawrence McBarron went to be with the Lord July 1st, 2026 at the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical Center. He was the Son of Edward Frances Mc Barron and Ellen Lorraine Packer McBarron both of Chester, Pennsylvania who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Julia Thomas McBarron, his daughter Hannah
Reynolds both of Scottsboro, Alabama as well as his 3 sisters – Mary Ellen Kilpatrick of Newfoundland, PA, Patricia Lane of Chester, PA, Janet Liberatore of Las Vegas, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward joined the United States Navy in 1968 and served in Viet Nam servicing aircrafts aboard the aircraft carriers including the USS Enterprise. However, his passion was flying and he soon became a flight engineer aboard the P3 aircraft, on which he earned 10,000 hours of flight time during his career. His skill and leadership was acknowledged as he became a Chief Petty Officer and managed numerous aircraft maintenance crews and supplies. Ever patriotic, Ed cherished his Navy career and
retired in 1989 stationed in Dallas, Texas. Soon after, Ed discovered the beauty and peace of Alabama and remained in Alabama until his passing.
Edward was 76 years old — loved and respected and will be missed by many.
