Edward L. Hubbard, 94, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and was a past Worshipful Master and 32 Degree Mason with the Burnsville Lodge # 233 F&AM. He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Sunday, June 16 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Edward Johnson and Bro. Ron Norvell. Interment will follow in Holder Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 3 daughters – Peggy Booker (Herbert Doyle) of Iuka; Judy Mooney (Mike) of Brandon, MS; and Eddie Sue Hubbard of Iuka; 4 grandchildren – Kevin Booker, Beth Brown (Scottie), Ritchie Morton (Robin), and Carissa Morton (Taylor); and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Hubbard; his infant son, James Harold Hubbard; three sisters; and six brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holder Cemetery Fund.
