Mr. Edward Howard Cornwell, 61, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Jaquith Hospital in Rankin Co., MS. He was born September 11, 1954 to Karl B. Cornwell and Geraldine Ewald Cornwell. He graduated from the North Carolina Police Academy in Hickory, N.C. He loved serving and protecting the people there. He was an avid outdoorsman who adored his family.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 PM, Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Michaele Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM and Friday from 2 PM to service time. Condolences may be e-mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Cornwell; parents, Karl B. Cornwell and Geraldine Cornwell; son, Joseph Cornwell (Brandy); daughters, Rebecca Cornwell Chism (Jason) and Norah Eden Willow Cornwell; two sisters, Ann Steelman (Steve)and Kathy Walden (Steve); two grandchildren, Lucas Cornwell and John Alex Chism.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Bell, Roddy Thompson, Steve Walden, Taylor Walden, Jason Chism, and Robert Barnes.
