On July 16, 2012, Edna McKey Cannon, 80, stepped from this life into her eternal life. Surrounded by her loving family, she made the heavenly journey to meet the Savior she loved so dear. She left this life after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. She lived her life in loving service to her Lord, her husband, her children, and grandchildren. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for 60 years and was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church. Besides her family, her greatest joy was working in church ministry in many different capacities. Many people, friends and strangers alike, were honored to get a handmade ribbon cross from her and be told “Jesus loves you and I do too.” Her servant heart was always evident in everything she did.
