Edna Mae Davis, 88, died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Marion County, Alabama to Willie Burl and Lanie Roxanne Crane Howell. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay. She worked as a secretary for Barclift Furniture and at Faust Drugs. She retired from BCDA after 20 years.
Graveside services will be today, 12:30 p.m., at Red Bay City Cemetery with Brother Larry Hill and Brother Bill Harper officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Chuck Davis (Rose), and her daughter, Janis Collum (Jerry), all of Red Bay; three grandsons, Jeremy Collum, of Red Bay, Brandon Davis (Robin), of Killen, Alabama, and Chris Hightower, of Corinth, Mississippi; two great-granddaughters,Brinlea and Piper Davis; one great-grandson, Jackson Hightower; four brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Prince Edward Davis; her parents; two brothers, Alvin Howell and Edward Howell; and three sisters, Ann Burleson, Angie Lou Summers, and Inez Whitehead.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Whitehead, Barry Thrasher, Brad Howell, Jeff Long, Chris Hightower, Lewis Davis, and Steve Davis.
Visitation will be today, 10 a.m. to noon, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
