Funeral service for Edna Jones Lee, 93, will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon Baptist Church with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lee died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born July 21, 1920, in Morgan County to Lawson Houston Jones and Bertha Waddell Jones. She was a long time member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a long time member of Hopewell Homemakers Club. She was a member of the Self Country Cousins and the last surviving member of her family of origin.
Family would like to express their “Thanks” to Joan Walker, Director of Nursing, and all the staff of Falkville Healthcare Center, who provided exemplary care for the past five years.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband: Elmer “Sleepy” Lee, a Son: Ronald Timothy Lee, three brothers: Adrian, Houston, and Edward Jones, two sisters: Earline Orr and Eloise Burns and her parents.
