Edna Grissom Edna Grissom, 91, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at her residence. She was born on September 11, 1927 to the late Albert and Mary Callahan and was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church. Edna enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking for her family and friends. She loved gospel singings and spending time with those she loved. Two things she was known for was her cake decorating and her love for the children she was able to care for in her home. Edna will forever be remembered in the hearts of her friends and family. Visitation is scheduled for 6-9 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018 and from 3 pm till service time Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Edna’s life will be held at 4 pm, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Rodney Whittemore and Bro. Gerald Blankenship. Pallbearers include Daniel Emmons, Daryl Emmons, Matthew Grissom, Jason Clouse, Mark Callahan, and James Callahan. Interment will follow in Holly Baptist Church Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Edna’s memory include her daughter: Sandra Emmons and husband Terry of Corinth; her grandchildren: Lori Clouse (Jason), Daniel Emmons (Whitney), Daryl Emmons (Jessica), Emily Grissom, and Matthew Grissom (Anna); her great-grandchildren: Holden Clouse, Logan Clouse, Colin Clouse, Rhett Emmons, Cullen Emmons, Caleb Emmons, Ethan Emmons, Mason Emmons, and Gage Grissom; her daughter-in-law: Becky Blankenship of Corinth; her son-in-law: Robert “Jr.” Burcham of Selmer, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Edna was preceded in death by her husband: Johnnie Grissom; her parents: Albert and Mary Callahan; her son: Steve Grissom; her daughter: Mavis Burcham; her brother: Alfred “Buddy” Callahan; and by her sisters: Bonnie Vanderford and Geraldine Roberts.
