Edith “Marie” South, 84 of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Thursday, February 02, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:30 pm to 2:30pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with Brother Darrel Pace and Brother Larry Smart officiating the funeral Service at 2:30 pm. Marie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Tuscumbia.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 69 wonderful years, Lawrence South; parents, Carl and Ora Wyrick; and sisters, Eloise Burleson and Peggy Nix.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Grubbs (Glen), Jan Lasseter (Dave), Faye Dawson (Ferrell); nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle McDonald, Bill Maynor, and Sam McClure.
We give a special thanks to Yoyo, Ann, Darlene, Lyn, Michelle, Shelia, Terri, and Abby and her team of Amedysis Hospice for the care given to our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, and Calvary Baptist Church of Tuscumbia.
