Edith Davis Johns, age 93, of Decatur, passed away on Friday August 19, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 2 pm at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Bro. Alan Queen officiating. The family will receive friends on that day from 11 am until 1 pm at Shelton Funeral Home.
Edith was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and country music.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Wheeler and Delia Scott Lovell; her husbands, Hector Davis and Elwood P. Johns; 4 brothers and 7 sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy Davis and wife Judy, and Eddie Davis and wife Linda; her daughters, Debbie Davis Goodwin and Cathy Davis Gibson and husband Jerry; 10 Grandchildren; 9 Greatgrandchildren; and 2 Great-great Grandchildren.
Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
