Edgar “Ed” Clifton Hairell, Jr. 86, of Waterloo, AL, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home. Ed was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He served in the Infantry in Vietnam 1966-1968. Ed was a member of the American Legion and a past member of Campers on Mission.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 12-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Officiating will be Chris Underwood.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Beulah Hairell; son, Keith Hairell; sisters, Ayleen Johnston, Kathleen Belcher, and Gwenda Filchak; nephew, Sonny Johnston; and niece, Kathy Hambrick.
He is survived by his son, Kris Hairell, Florence; grandchildren, William Hairell, Florence; Preston Hairell (Anne Catherine), Birmingham; great grandchild, William Thomas Akers Hairell, Birmingham.
