Eddie Michael Butler of Memphis, TN, passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 72 in Jackson, Tennessee. Eddie was born on August 3, 1951 in Alcorn County in Corinth Mississippi.
Eddie was a funny, lovable, patient, and God-loving individual. He had a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. Eddie was known for his loving nature and his ability to make others feel cherished.
Eddie is survived by: his son, Kenny Knighton (Dana), and his daughter, Vickie Loveland. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Korey, Chloe, and Caden Knighton. His siblings Kathy White (Leon) and Keith Butler (Deidre). Additionally, Eddie is survived by his great-grandson, Tatum Mendoza along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Butler, son, Michael Butler, his parents, Bobby and Jocie Butler, as well as his brothers, Ricky, Randall, Dennis Butler and his sister, Janice Graham.
Eddie Michael Butler’s presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished, and his kind and loving spirit will live on in their hearts.
The family invites those who wish to pay their final respects to do so during a viewing for Eddie on January 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Shackelford funeral home in Selmer, TN . A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. The burial services will be immediately after at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Corinth, MS. As we say our goodbyes, let us celebrate Eddie’s life and remember the love and joy he brought into our world.
