Mr. Edd Henry Fuqua Sr. was born to William Henry and Willie B. Fuqua on Feb. 18, 1935. He went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Mary Montgomery Fuqua, Tuscumbia, Alabama; daughters, Patricia (Lintord) Sanders and Gwendolyn Jones, both of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; sons, Keith Fuqua, Meridianville, Alabama, and the late Edd Fuqua Jr. and Anita Diane Fuqua; devoted grandchild, Christy Fuqua Goode, Huntsville, Alabama; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be today, 5-7 p.m. at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, Alabama. Service for Mr. Fuqua will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at First Missionary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, with the Reverend Otis B. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Public viewing will be today, noon-8 p.m.
