THE SHOALS – Saturday’s weather began a bit cool, but as the day progressed, the folks who attended Earth Day in Wilson Park had a splendid time in warmish weather. The usual displays were there… The usual performers were there… Fun activities for the kids were in the park, as usual… And everybody had a great time celebrating Mother Earth’s Day with music, foods, drink, and educational activities.

The Quad-Cities Daily was there, as per usual. Photojournalists Sheri and Steve Wiggins took lots of pics of the activities, and we present them here. You can find out more information on the Earth Day celebration by reading Nancy Muse’s article HERE.

We hope that you find yourself in some of these photos. They are big enough to copy and print on your photo printer. Don’t have a photo printer? Don’t worry! Just copy the photo on a thumb drive and take the file to your nearest photo kiosk. Please remember that these photos are for your personal, NON-COMMERCIAL use only. Enjoy!
