Earl Douglas Smith, Sr., 78, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ. He was also a retired charter bus driver with Anchor Tours and traveled both the U.S. and Canada.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Edward Bragwell. Burial will be at McWright Cemetery, Isbell.
He is survived by Marjorie Smith; son, Doug Smith; daughter, Dawn Garrison (husband, Hershel); grandchildren, Brett Garrison (wife, Joslyn), Kitt Garrison (wife, Angela); great-grandchildren, Luke, Lydia, & Reagan Garrison; sisters, Martha Wheeler (husband, Nolon), Daphine Copeland, Janice Riner (husband, Douglas); host of nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester “Deck” & Minnie Dora “Doty” Smith; brother-in-law, Price Millard Copeland; and in-laws, Nila & Andy McWilliams.
The pallbearers will his nephews, Brandon Wheeler, Hudson Copeland, Jaimie Copeland, Wayne Davis, Ben Stancil, and Charley Riner. The honorary pallbearers will be Kerry Gilbert, Carl Kilbert, Charlie Britnell, Cedric Prince, and Leonard Basden.
The family would like to extend special thanks Dr. Keith Morrow, Dr. Kalliath, Dr. Ryan; the staff of Keller Home Health; and the nurses of Russellville Hospital for your love and care shown to our family.
