Doyle Sanders, born May 17th, 1940, passed away on October 2nd, 2026. He was the son of Walter Sanders and Levi Long Sanders.
Doyle married the love of his life, Carolyn Sanders, in 1961, and together they shared 61 beautiful years of marriage. He was a true family man who loved his family dearly and treasured the time they spent together.
Doyle worked for Gerber for 35 years, selling baby food. He also spent three years working at Bojangles and worked at Star Market. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and cutting grass. Doyle was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was deeply loved by all who knew him. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his daughter, Angie Harrell (Chris); his son, Greg Sanders (Tina); his brothers, Donnie, Gene, and William; his son-in-law, Matt Guess; his grandsons, Aubrey Harrell and Scott Sanders; his granddaughter, Ginger Guess; and his great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Guess.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sanders and Levi Long Sanders, and his beloved wife, Carolyn Sanders.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m., with Bill Stone officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Greg Sanders, Aubrey Harrell, Scott Sanders, Paul King, Mark Miller, and Ginger Guess.
Doyle was very loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
