FLORENCE-Get ready, live music fans! “Handy on the Plaza” is back and bigger than ever! The Downtown Florence Alliance, local businesses, sponsors, and the City of Florence are thrilled to announce “Handy on the Plaza”. The free-to the-public, high-energy, four-day street party will kick-off the W.C. Handy Music Festival in style. From July 16–19, Mobile Plaza, in the heart of Downtown Florence, will come alive with national, regional, and local music talent, transforming the space into a vibrant celebration of the Shoals’ rich musical heritage. Downtown Florence is looking forward to welcoming thousands of residents and visitors for this exciting event.

“Handy on the Plaza” launches Wednesday with the crowd-favorite Hot Dog Fest, featuring Local Brand, DJ Pedialyte, and Weston Harris Hill. The momentum builds with performances from nationally-recognized talent such as the North Mississippi Allstars, Billy Allen + The Pollies, Funk Brotherhood, Drew Dixon & The Real Thing, and more through Saturday night.
