Douglas "Hobo" EubanksDouglas “Hobo” Eubanks, 91 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on January 2nd, 2024, at his residence. He was born on July 7th, 1932, to parents Calvin Eubanks and Odell Clement Eubanks.

Mr. Eubanks is survived by his son Terry Eubanks (Marie); 2 grandchildren Katie Eubanks Brown (Silas) and Krys Eubanks Reece (Christopher); and 2 great-grandchildren Eleanor Reece and Banks Brown.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Naomi Sandlin Eubanks; son Timmy Eubanks; brother Otto Eubanks; and sister Wilma Tribble.

Funeral services for Mr. Eubanks will be on January 5th, 2024, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 11am with TJ Smith, Mark Nave, and Johnny Tribble officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be January 4th, 2024, from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home pm. His pallbearers will be Jeff Thompson, Nick Sandlin, Tracy Sandlin, Rodney Peete, Butch Freemon, and Johnny Tribble.

Mr. Eubanks was an avid bird hunter & guide who also enjoyed his time fishing, gardening, and coaching baseball. He was a minister of the Gospel in The Church of Christ and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
