Douglas Adam Wilkins of Tuscumbia, AL passed away Saturday, September 5th, 2026. He was 31 years old. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia, AL. Adam was born June 19, 1995, in Montgomery, AL to Melissa Long Bales and the late Douglas Shelton Wilkins.
He was a Boilermaker with Local 455 since 2021, and he was proud to be a part of the Brotherhood. He was an extremely talented musician and very gifted vocally. He had `the ability to play almost any stringed instrument, but his favorite instrument was the drums. He marched with the Regiment of Blue at Wilson High School and was the drummer for different bands throughout the years, most recently, Cold Clay Mountain. Vocally, he sang almost every genre and gained a following as a rapper, Str3ss. He would say, however, that his greatest achievement, his greatest love, is his daughter, Ani Jane. He could not have been more proud of her. She truly was the love of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Melissa Bales (Shawn Bales), precious daughter, Ani Jane Jarnigan; grandmother, Kay Carden Long; sister, Lindsay Wilkins; brothers, Braxton Wilkins, Dylan Bales, and Braden Bales; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
