Doug Maples, 67 of Arab died Friday, October 23, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Maples was born December 22, 1948 in Madison County, the son of Fred and Norph-Fleet Snow Maples. He was of the Baptist Faith and has called Arab his home for the past 32 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a retired auto mechanic with Joe V. Clayton Chevrolet, Arab.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Shane and Amy Maples; a brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Michelle Maples; a sister: Charlotte Petty; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends; preceded in death by his wife: Vicki Lagrone Maples.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
