Funeral services for Dorothy Speakman Pittman, 88, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Mt. Hope Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state from 12-1 at the church.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pittman passed away September 30, 2017. She was born November 27, 1928 to Joe and Hallie Speakman. She was a long standing member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Crane Hill for many years before moving to Cullman and joining Seventh Street Baptist. She was Postmaster in Crane Hill for 22 years, and an avid Alabama fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Adrian Pittman; and 8 siblings.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice (Norm) Winkel, Sandra (Rick) Hudson, Vickie (Rick) Hale; 7 grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
