Dorothy Purser Mackey, age 81, of Nashville, TN passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Della Haddock Purser; her husband, Charles H. Mackey; and ten siblings.
She is survived by

One Son –
Neal Mackey (Beth), Hawkinsville, GA
One Grandson –
Evan J. Mackey, Hawkinsville, GA
Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins also survive.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016, with Mickey Brackin and Gary Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville, TN or to the Disabled American Veterans.
