Ms Dorothy Louise HumphriesDorothy Louise Humphries, age 92, of the Hulaco community in Joppa, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home early Saturday morning, February 14, 2026. Born May 20, 1933, in Morgan County, Alabama, she was the daughter of Gordon Cleland and Myrtle Louise Earwood Cleland. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Algie Dever Humphries, who passed away in 2007. She dedicated much of her career to GTE-SCI-Sanmina, working in the product assembly division.
A devoted member of Hebron Church of Christ, Dorothy found joy in quilting, sewing, farming, and canning.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Annette Guest (Lonnie); grandchildren, LeAnn Satterfield, Jamie Satterfield (Teresa), Brandon Satterfield (Jennifer), Johnathan Guest (Shilo), and Timothy Guest; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Davidson (Cody), Haley Satterfield, Ethan Satterfield, Justin Satterfield, Brooklyn Satterfield, and Drew Guest; great-great-grandchildren, Sutton Davidson and Cohen Davidson; and son-in-law, Larry Satterfield.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Myrtle Cleland; husband, Algie Humphries; daughter, Sandra Satterfield; sisters, Ila Masters, Arnice Umphrey, Martha Conley, and Mae King; and brother, Winford Cleland.
Services for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Hebron Church of Christ. Family, friends, and guests are invited to gather for visitation at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, officiated by Brother Levi Sides and Brother Ronald Earwood. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers include Carl Humphries, Danny Humphries, Mark Humphries, Kerry Humphries, Kara Cleland, and Robert Whisenant.
Dorothy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her church, and her community. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the memories cherished by all who knew her. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
