Ms. Britney Nicole Sharp, age 34, of the Morgan City/Union Hill Community in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. Born on August 12, 1991, in Morgan County, Alabama, Britney was the daughter of Timothy Gerald Otwell and Bobbie Jo Sharp. She built her career working in the food service industry at a local Bar and Grill, where she was known for her dedication and outgoing personality. Britney was a member of 16th Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama.
Britney cherished spending time with her family, always prioritizing the moments they shared together. She found great joy in her work, taking pride in her role within the food service industry and forming lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike. Britney had a passion for travel and especially enjoyed going on cruises, where she explored new places and created wonderful memories.
Britney is survived by her father, Timothy Otwell; son, Brayden Yarbrough, brother, Chris Kent (Destiny); sisters, Haley Benitez (Coty), Kristin Surrett, (Jason), Teresa Hansard (Willard), and Dakota Kent; grandparents, Rhonda Ballew (Phillip Ballew) and Tony Otwell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Jo Kent and grandmother, Betty Robinson.
The family has chosen cremation with memorial service for Britney. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Family, friends, and guests are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Britney was loved by all who knew her, and her memory will live on. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
