Dorothy Faye Underwood Hubbell Profile Photo Dorothy Faye Underwood Hubbell, 86, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Larry Benderman, Donnie Davis, and Jason Hubbell officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born March 7, 1938 in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin E. Underwood and the late May Katheryn Franklin Underwood. On August 19, 1954 she married the love of her life, Charles Thurman “Cup Man” Hubbell. Together they shared 65 wonderful years until his passing on November 5, 2019. Mrs. Hubbell loved cooking for her family and baked the most amazing cakes. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and her beloved chiweenie, Little Bit. She was a devoted member of Bethel Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Wayne (Janet) Hubbell; grandchildren, Jennifer Wood, Jason Hubbell, Angela Murray; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Scotty, Wesley, Greg, Zach, Braxton, Trenton, Kylie, Ansley, Paizlee, Eden; great great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Shylynn, Christopher, Michael, Anelise; sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Hines, June Henson, Debbie Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and  parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Michael Hubbell; brothers, Evans Underwood, Charles Underwood, David Underwood; sister, Donna Clifford; and grandsons, Shane Hubbell and Brian Hubbell.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Hubbell, Braxton Wood , Trenton Hubbell,  Terry Clayton Estis, Timmy Harris, and Evan Underwood.
