Dorothy “Dot” Goree Freeman, age 81, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015.
The visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. today at Akins Funeral Home followed by the 3 p.m. funeral in the funeral chapel with Brother Wade Wallace and Brother Joe Lenox. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Garden.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. “Shorty” Freeman, her parents, Lehman Goree and Gertrude Goree Dorman, five sisters, and one brother.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Sherry (David) Hulsey, Debbie (Roger) Downey, and Donald Freeman; grandchildren, Greg (Tara) Hulsey, Brett (Kyle) Hulsey, Ashley (Mark) Wallace, Morgan (Jared) Lawler, Nathan Freeman, and Kevin Freeman; eight great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Haley, Tanner, Charles, and John Barett Hulsey, Brilee Lawler, and Marshall and Asher Wallace; two special nieces, Linda Riley Valentine and Susie Beale Martin; a sister, Ruth Riley, and two very special friends, Sue Nell and Kenneth Williams.
